Indoor Workouts For This Monsoon



No matter what the reason is, some days you may find it difficult to go outside for your usual workouts. The reasons may be your health, weather, environmental pollution, traffic or even your naughty little baby. While you are motivated to get your body in shape with perfect health, it is a miserable condition, when the weather stops you. Monsoon is an awkward reason among these when you are forced to stay indoors. But do not worry. If you are inspired, you can change your room to a workout area and your belongings or furniture to work out machineries easily.

There are many workout options that can burn out your extra calories. Change your room to your gym this monsoon by trying some indoor workouts. Do not let the calendar decide your workout timings. Here are some easy and practical indoor workouts that you may include in your weight loss exercises during this monsoon.

Indoor Workouts For This Monsoon 

Bulgarian squats:
This is an easy to do indoor exercise.Stand a few feet in front of a chair with right leg on floor and extend left leg back, placing toes on top of a chair. When thigh is parallel to the floor, dip down into a lunge.

Use your dumbbells:
A pair of 10- or 12-pound dumbbell can assist you in your indoor exercise to a great extend. Shape up your muscles with dumbbells if you are stuck in your home during this monsoon.

Pop-up abs:
If you want to give a workout for your abdomen, try pop-up abs in your indoors. Lie on your back. Extend your arms on the ground over your head and legs on ground. Sit up and pull into a fetal position, touching heels to glutes.

Push-up:
Push-up exercise can do wonders on your chest, shoulders, triceps, abdominals, lower back, and glutes. It is an easy to try indoor exercise for weight loss and fitness. Keep your legs straight with hands beneath your shoulders. Then push back up until your arms are extended.

Step-ups:
This is another exercise which can be done with your home furniture as the exercise machine. Place one foot on a chair or stool and push down through your heel to lift your other leg up. You may try this on your staircase as well.

V-up crunches:
 If you want to give an extra workout to your abs, then go for V-up crunches which is a variation of the classic crunches. Lie on your back. Lift your legs and stretch your arms toward your toes.

Free squats:
Free squats: Keep your legs slightly wider than shoulder width and your toes pointing out.Push your hips back and sit down as if you are sitting on a chair. Do as many as you can. Free squat is a good indoor option to try this monsoon.

Jump rope:
Do not consider that jump rope as an outdoor specified exercise. You may try it where ever you have air circulation and space. Jump rope is excellent to provide you a good cardiovascular exercise this monsoon.

Treadmill:
If the weather outside is not permitting you to enjoy a jogging outdoors, try a treadmill. If you do not have a treadmill, you can still try jogging indoors by staying in a point keeping the running motion of your legs.

Dish holds:
Dish hold is an excellent choice for your abdomen. Lye on your back and draw your knees to your chest and raise your shoulder blades. Hold this for 60 seconds and come to rest. Repeat is as many times as you can.
