It is important to watch your pregnancy diet because it has direct and indirect impact on the health of your unborn baby. Normally, the body temperature of pregnant women will increase due to high rate of metabolism. Consuming too much of heat inducing foods may affect the temperature balance of your body. Many women around the globe do eat this type of heat inducing foods without any known harmful effects. It is worth noticing that eating any foods that are believed to be heat inducing will be harmful, only if you take it in high amounts on a regular basis. But, when it comes to pregnancy, nobody wants to take a chance.

Alcohol: Avoiding the use of alcohol is highly recommended not only for your health, but also for the health of your unborn baby. Alcohol will affect the temperature balance of the body which can induce its direct or indirect effect on the baby.

Pineapple: Many women prefer to include pineapple in the top list of heat inducing foods to avoid during pregnancy. Some believe that the harmful agent in pineapple is a cervix softening agent, while some other believes that it induces increased body temperature.
