Castor oil is commonly used as a laxative, but it has many other wonderful properties as well. It is extremely softening on hair and skin as it has the ability to maintain moisture levels. It is well known for its ability to strengthen hair. It is an emollient oil which acts as a deep conditioner for both skin and hair. Because of these properties, castor oil has been used as a hair and skin cosmetic for thousands of years.

1.      Fades age spots: Using castor oil is an easy way to fade age spots. Rub the oil over the age spot and massage in a gentle circular motion two times a day.

2.      Promotes hair growth: Castor oil is well-known for its ability to promote hair growth. Apply castor oil on the scalp and massage gently. Leave it for half an hour and then wash off with mild shampoo.

3.      Hair conditioning: The natural fatty acids in castor oil make it a good hair conditioner. Apply castor oil to the full length of your hair at least 15 minutes prior to the use of shampoo.

11.  Prevent sagging of skin: As we grow older, our skin  loses its elasticity gradually and this causes the skin to sag. Castor oil can be used effectively for preventing sagging skin. Castor oil will keep the skin moisturised and tight.
